Though it can also be used for drinking a variety of teas, the Matte Tray was inspired by the ritual of the matte drinker. A solid piece of beech wood is sculpted to elegantly provide space for a sugar container, tea container, teapot, spoon holders, and cup area. Sugar and tea containers are carved from Walnut.

The Oval Tray celebrates the beauty of three-dimensional wood grain. A simple oval shape is extruded and pulled out of symmetry to form the rim of the tray, while a set of four circles drop to form feet. The result is a dance of wood grain in elegant curvature.
